Recently, Sure Origin Group welcomed a customer from South Africa to our factory for a technical evaluation of our lithium battery recycling plant.
The customer has been engaged in metal recycling for several years and is planning to expand into the lithium battery recycling industry. With the growing number of end-of-life lithium batteries generated from electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics, the company is exploring opportunities to establish a complete recycling facility in South Africa. Before moving forward with the project, the customer decided to visit our factory to better understand the equipment and production process.
During the visit, our engineering team introduced the overall recycling process, including battery discharge, shredding, crushing, screening, magnetic separation, air separation, and black mass recovery. We also explained the role of each machine, environmental protection measures, and the final recovered materials, including black mass, copper, aluminum, and steel.
To provide a better understanding of the production line, we arranged a live equipment demonstration. The customer observed the operating process, discussed equipment performance with our engineers, and asked detailed questions about processing efficiency, dust collection, safety systems, and daily maintenance. Particular attention was given to the low-temperature treatment process, which helps remove electrolyte before further material processing.
The customer also toured our manufacturing workshop, where they inspected machine fabrication, electrical assembly, and quality inspection procedures. During the tour, our team introduced the standards we follow during production and explained how each production line is tested before delivery.
After the factory inspection, both sides held a technical meeting to discuss the customer's project in detail. Topics included raw material supply, plant layout, processing capacity, utility requirements, installation planning, and future expansion. Based on the customer's project goals, our engineers proposed a suitable production line configuration and answered a number of technical questions related to local operating conditions.
The customer explained that this visit was part of the company's supplier evaluation process. After returning to South Africa, they will review the technical information and investment plan with their management team before making the final purchasing decision. They also expressed their intention to continue discussions with Sure Origin Group as the project progresses.
The visit helped both teams gain a clearer understanding of the project requirements and created a solid foundation for future cooperation.
