When a mixture of two crushed materials of different densities is moved by wind, the vibration at a certain point on the screen causes the denser copper material to move closer to the screen surface and toward the outlet, while the smaller plastic material moves toward the outlet. The less dense material floats on the copper and reaches the outlet, thus achieving copper-plastic separation.
The separation rate of a copper cable recycling machine is proportional to the diameter of a single copper wire. The larger the diameter of the copper wire, the higher the copper-plastic separation rate.
How does a copper cable recycling machine work?

- After installation and commissioning, the copper granulator requires air transportation for 2-3 minutes. Once everything is functioning correctly, it can be put into operation.
- The scrap wire is fed into the crusher's feed port for crushing, preparing for the next step of sorting.
- After crushing, the raw material falls from the lower outlet onto a conveyor.
- The conveyor carries the raw material to the vibrating screen. The vibrating screen begins to classify the raw material, with the plastic skin granules forming the upper layer of the screen. The upper layer of the second sieve contains a small amount of plastic granules and a small amount of unscreened copper wire, while the lower layer contains the finished granules.
- The plastic granules on the upper layer of the first sieve are ultimately returned to the main unit. The raw material on the upper layer of the second sieve enters the secondary crusher for secondary crushing. The crushed raw material is then sent to the electrostatic pulverizer. The separator is then separated by the main unit.
- The electrostatic separator completely separates the copper from the plastic. A dust suction port is located above the vibrating screen, which draws impurities and dust from the raw material into the discharger via a fan. The material is then sent to the pulse dust collector for dust removal.
Copper Wire Recycling Machine Operating Precautions
- The scrap copper wire recycling machine should be installed on a flat surface. An uneven surface will cause the equipment to vibrate.
- Inspect all parts of the equipment for any problems. Open the upper housing of the crusher and manually rotate the crusher blade to check for smooth rotation and any scratches on the bottom screen.
- Connect the power supply to the distribution cabinet and thoroughly inspect the equipment for loose bolts or other problems.
- After connecting the power supply, turn the power switches of each device on and off one by one to check for any problems with the wiring. 5. Before the first production run, it is recommended that the copper cable recycling machine be run at no load for half an hour. This allows the user to observe any operational issues and facilitate adjustments.
